COALVILLE — A section of I-80 and I-84 are closed in Summit County after a semitruck hauling propane crashed on a ramp between the two freeways causing a HAZMAT situation Wednesday afternoon, state and local officials said.
The crash happened on the westbound I-80 ramp to I-84, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. UDOT reported just before 2 p.m. that I-80 is closed in the area and that I-84 is closed between Hennefer and Echo Junction.
The Park City Fire District tweeted that a semitruck hauling propane rolled over and propane was leaking. It added that roads to Echo Junction are currently closed as a result of the crash. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials added that multiple agencies, including its HAZMAT team, were called out to the scene. UDOT officials reported that the closure could remain into place into late Wednesday afternoon and evening, and that more than 15-minute delays were expected in the area.
